New generics company opens for UK business

Pharmacists now have a new UK source of generic medicines.

Aristo Pharma Limited says it will offer the UK market “cost effective generic medicines that meet the market’s demands”. Starting with a product range of esomeprazole, duloxetine, quetiapine, rasagiline and voriconazole, additional product launches are planned for summer 2017 and beyond.

As part of Aristo Pharma GmbH, the German company that recently acquired British branded generics specialist CEB Pharma Limited, Aristo Pharma Limited has access to a portfolio of products manufactured in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. Efficient manufacturing and economies of scale give it a competitive cost base, it says, while a real-time stock database promises 24/7 stock availability.

Aristo adds that is committed to “long term, customer focused relationships with both primary and secondary care and their respective supply chains, including wholesalers, shortliners and retail multiples”.

The new company will be run by the existing CEB Pharma management team of Dr Ken Williamson, John Fletcher and Ian Chatterton, who have a wealth of industry knowledge and collective experience working across branded and generic pharmaceuticals.
